Independent Software Studio

Your files never cross this wall.

ANFA Technology builds independent software, privacy-first applications, and open-source tools that give people more control over their digital lives.

Technology should work for people, not against them.

Our work is driven by three foundational principles that guide every tool we architect, every repository we publish, and every line of code we execute.

01 / Foundation

Privacy First

We believe users should have meaningful control over their data. We prioritize local processing, data minimization, and transparent software behavior.

  • In-browser WebAssembly memory isolation
  • Zero commercial ad trackers or telemetry
  • Working memory cleared upon tab close
02 / Transparency

Open Source

We support transparent development and software that developers can inspect, understand, audit, and build upon freely.

  • Public, auditable GitHub repositories
  • Permissive MIT and Apache-2.0 licensing
  • Self-hosted developer infrastructure
03 / Autonomy

Independent Innovation

We develop practical software products and infrastructure without unnecessary complexity or predatory cloud paywalls.

  • Self-funded independent product laboratory
  • Zero vendor lock-in or forced subscriptions
  • Engineered for long-term utility & resilience

Most online tools work by sending your file to a server. Ours work by sending the tool to you.

A deliberate architectural model that keeps computation local, data private, and performance deterministic.

Stage 01

Understand the problem

Identify real-world friction where users are unnecessarily forced to surrender file payloads to remote servers, and architect solutions that eliminate cloud vulnerabilities from day one.

Stage 02

Design with purpose

Prioritize local processing, memory sandboxing, data minimization, and transparent software behavior. The browser becomes an isolated workstation using your own hardware processor.

Stage 03

Build and improve

Release useful software, maintain active open-source projects, and continuously iterate through direct developer and community feedback.

  1. Step 1

    You open the tool.

The page and the tool's code download to your browser once. This is the single part that utilizes the network.

  2. Step 2

    You choose a file.

The file is loaded directly into your browser's private memory (RAM). It is never dispatched over the network.

  3. Step 3

    Your device does the work.

For supported tools, the conversion or calculation runs locally in your browser. It uses your device's processor, not ours.

  4. Step 4

    You keep the result.

The finished output is written directly to your local file system, with all working memory cleared when the tab closes.

Two paths. One wall.

The difference between a tool that uploads your file and one that processes it locally.
A typical upload-based converter File leaves device
Server upload Wall crossed Device

The file travels from your device to a remote server. The wall is crossed.

ANFA Stays on device
Device Output Wall unbroken

The file stays inside the device boundary from start to finish. The outer wall is never crossed.

Privacy isn't a feature. It's a design decision.

We explain the different approaches used across ANFA products with full transparency. Here is what actually happens, including the parts that utilize external network connections.

Stays on your device (Client-Side) Local
  • File reading Your file is opened from your disk into local browser RAM. It is never uploaded.
  • Conversion and processing For supported formats, the tool runs in your browser via WebAssembly using your own CPU.
  • Output saving The converted result is saved directly back to your local file system.
  • Mathematical calculation in NUMRIX All numerical and 2D graphing calculations evaluate purely in local processor registers.
  • Sticky Desk notes All scratchpad cards persist exclusively inside your local Windows SQLite partition.
Network & Distribution Points Network
  • Downloading the tool bundle The first time you open a tool, its static assets download to your browser and cache locally.
  • Self-hosted developer infrastructure Developer tools such as ANFA WhatsApp API run on servers deployed and controlled by you.
  • External distribution channels Links to the Microsoft Store, GitHub, or npm open verified external registries in your browser.
  • Technology research publishing AI Future Insights is published as an online analysis platform accessible on the open web.

About ANFA Technology

ANFA Technology is an independent software company based in Karachi, Pakistan. We build open-source infrastructure, privacy-first applications, and practical software products. Our work is driven by a simple belief: technology should give people more control over their digital lives. From browser-based tools to self-hosted developer infrastructure, we focus on building software that is useful, transparent, and designed with purpose.

  • Do the work on your device when the task allows.
  • Say plainly when it can't.
  • Publish open-source code where we can.
  • Keep the tools usable without an account.

Founder, ANFA Technology

I'm Muntazir Mahdi. I started ANFA in 2024 while studying Computer Science at the University of Karachi. I wanted useful software that doesn't ask you to hand over your files first, and I couldn't find enough of it, so I began building it.

Today that includes browser tools, desktop apps, developer packages and a publication. I try to be clear about what each tool does with your files, including the cases where it can't stay on your device.
